Laletha Nithiyanandan (Lita) is an entrepreneur at heart. For her, doing business means doing good business and this philosophy shines through in her many business ventures. Lita has more than 30 years’ experience in talent acquisition and management. She founded Business Trends, a successful pan-Asian talent solutions company. When she sold her business to Kelly Services, a Fortune 500 company, she had 17 offices across the region and a turnover of 100 million dollars. Besides running her own business Lita has also held corporate roles: her last role was Vice President of Asia Pacific for the Kelly Outsourcing and Consulting group where she set up 6 services in 13 countries. Her experience within the corporate world prompted her to start the Behavioural Consulting Group, which is a management consulting firm that specialises in utilising Behavioural Science principles in improving performance and productivity within their client organizations. She has an extensive network of consultants supporting clients in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, India and Indonesia. The team also provides facilitation support and coaching for leaders in the region.

Her latest venture is Talent Design Potential Pte Ltd (TDP-Group) specialising in executive search. She decided to re-enter the talent space because she feels that the opportunity to place senior leaders in roles within organisations gives TDP –Asia the opportunity to increase positive leadership impact. She believes that good leaders are enablers in creating a better world, as they are acutely aware of the impact of their decisions on their employees, the organisation and the community at large.

Lita is a prominent member of the talent solutions and HR consulting profession, having been a pioneer of this industry in Asia. She was instrumental in setting up the Association of Employment Services in Singapore. In addition, she introduced an industry code of ethics and worked closely with other similar organisations in Australia and the U.S. She was the founder President of the Association on Employment Services for a number of years. She is often featured in the media and is a frequent speaker on topics relating to business leadership, entrepreneurship and leadership impact. Lita was on the Board of Governors with the Marketing Institute of Singapore and has been a Mentor with the Singapore Youth Council. She was President of the Singapore Professional and Business Women’s Association; she has also held several executive portfolios within Women for Women and was also a member of the International Women’s Foundation of Singapore. She was an invited speaker at UNIDO’s (United Nations’ Industrial Development Organisation) forums on building a sustainable society in Bangkok, Thailand, Japan and Nepal.

She is an idea generator and can see through complex problems to find solutions that are holistic in nature. She is also a firm advocate of doing business with a heart.

Lita holds an MBA in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull, U.K. She is a Certified Personal Consultant and holds a Chartered Institute of Marketing diploma from U.K. (CIM). She is a mother of two teenagers who are nearly young adults.
